EU Age Control is the first step towards totalitarianism via digital IDs and digital euro.

For one because they think they can remove games from my Steam library which I've owned for years just because they tighten up around age ratings on games. I'm too old for age ratings and I paid money for these games, they are perfectly legal and I've invested time into those.

EU agenda is pretty clear, control and repression, while hackers are stealing user's profile and selling it on dark web, double punishment for users

1. Because we (the people) didn't ask for it 2. We don't want to pay for something we didn't ask for. 3. It's expensive 4. It adds unnecessary control, surveillance and friction to most users (all responsible grown-ups), while doing very little to actually prevent crime amd harm. 5. Bad people w...

It's paternalistic and a tool to curb privacy online, wrapped in "for the children". KYC for going online.

Because it's totally useless. Kids will get around this anyway. And criminals also. And the only ones suffering from this will be those people, who didn't need that kind of "protection" to beginn with. And I don't trust government systems to be able to protect my personal data. I know how they code,...

Users will have to navigate through more pop up and buttons to access a service. And of course, If they do not accept the terms or fail the KYC portal then they cannot use the service. Waste of time, and more frustration ... Consent is broken at this point.

The solution should be focused on better options for granular controls, allowing parents to better control what their children have access to (privately), and me to control what I am forced to view. UI and built security does not require government intervention, it requires them to stop regulating s...

When I was 7y my grandma let me watch jaws. Sure Iโm a grown man who doesnโt like swimming in the ocean, but DAMN I tasted freedom when I was young ๐

EU age control is good, but why not have everything combined, before you can go online: to prove that you are of legal age, that you are not a terrorist or a child predator, that you are not far-right, that you are not North Korean or Iranian, that your funding sources are legal and transparent, tha...

because it does not solve problem. I have another problem, which is brain washing of my kids brain with shorts. remember the time YT player was w/o shorts? I want to have control of what my children will consume. It is my responsibility. No bureaucrat will do it better than me. (btw my 10y old son h...
