My issues with Bitkey so far:
Make it FOSS. We just watched what happens when other products and services have little incentive to review or use your code.
Pretty much all of my other complaints could be fixed with a hidden advanced flow.
I may not want to use a fingerprint. Allow pins, pass phrases or even hardware keys if you feel cute (I know the risks). I do appreciate that it takes multiple samples, presumably to increase reliability.
Allow me to upload to a truly personal cloud (I know the risks). Don't force Google into the advanced user flow.
Someone from the team said this thing was made by Bitcoiners for Bitcoiners. Cool. Many of us (and growing) live the Graphene life and don't want Google services.
I understand the thinking for the default flow. No complaints there. What is the harm in a deeply hidden advanced flow?
Change my mind if I'm wrong.
Other than that, the device seems very nice and I can tell careful thought went into the design. Adding the screen was a huge improvement. Thank you for listening to people on that. The thing looks cool (may be a negative if you don't want it to draw attention, but I like it).
