I don't care what it sounds like. Their primary profit mechanism is not grocery. They only have it to get people in so they buy the things they do significantly profit from. They don't do any better on grocery than the industry expectations.

I'm looking at the whole picture, actually. I'm mentioning Walmart because of how massive it is and even it still sits in 3% profit range on grocery items. Stores that sell groceries aren't raking in the profits on food that people think they are. That's the point. Even Walmart has to sell a lot of non-grocery stuff to make it worthwhile.
