I don't dare call myself programmer in serious conversation. To me, Lovelace, Knuth, Conway, Butterfield, people of that caliber are the real ones. Mathematicians that coaxed rocks into doing advancd logic feats.
That is not to say that I don't haave peers that I consider programmers. I have many colleagues I respect.
And so, it is kinda disheartening to hear some of them fully embrace "AI"...
I don't know, it doesn't matter in the long run what I think, but I respect them a lot less.
