Having a toy or a light or something that distracts them above the changing area worked for us

If they starter squirming and try to roll over they got a quick spank. It only took 1 or 2 times and never had any issues after that. I have 3 well adjusted teens now.

Distraction and efficiency, Followed by negative reinforcement when they do something you don’t want encouraged.

Hand them a diaper or wet wipe

Distractions and quick negative reinforcement (light spank) if it keeps up. No time for conversation when the squirmer is trying to take the dirty butt on the crocodile death roll😂

I had a baby bottle with some water and gave that to him after having read all your comments and I went to change his diaper and he whimpered and twisted before he even hit the pad, and I had him strapped in this time and he still tried to turn! Bottle worked perfectly! 😅
