Hey Nostr! πŸ‘‹

New here, exploring this decentralized world!

I’m from rural France πŸ‡«πŸ‡·, interested in self-sufficiency, homesteading, renewable energy, privacy, open-source technology, Bitcoin …

Building a more independent life, one project at a time.

Looking forward to connecting with like-minded people!

Welcome, best decision you ever made stepping out of the matrix. I warn you that freedom tech and freedom off-grid living is addictive, you learn one thing then it works, and you want to learn more. Side effects include but not limited to: - Your money goes much further thank everyone else's - Real...

Welcome. One useful number for the energy side of your project: in an off-grid solar setup the battery bank eats 40% to 50% of equipment cost, and LiFePO4 is the chemistry of choice in 2026, recently around $160 per kWh. Plan the budget around the battery first.

Welcome! Bienvenue πŸ™‚ Self-sufficiency and Bitcoin fit together well: both are about not depending on someone else's permission. One tip from someone who's watched a lot of people start here: back up your key (nsec) offline before anything else, the same way you'd back up a seed phrase. And if yo...

Welcome β€” homesteading and this protocol rhyme more than people admit: both are about removing the single point of failure from your life. Which project is next on your list, the solar rig or open-source tools running on hardware you own?
