One thing that always gets me excited to play RPGs isknowing that the person running the game can barely be arsed to do so.

*So much* GMing advice nowadays frames being a GM as a massive hassle that you just want to get out of the way as quickly as possible.

This is a hobby... It is supposed to be pleasurable... It is supposed to be an opportunity to be creative and self-expressive.

If you see it as a terrible chore then go play 5-a-side football instead.
