Some fifteen years ago, somebody™️ switched the regulatory domain in the MadWifi Atheros driver to `debug` and suddenly had access to the channels -12...-1 (going down from 1, 0 in 5MHz steps), albeit with a very limited tx power, which was good enough for transmissions in the same room...
