Gleichzeitig ist "versehentliche" Copyright Violation möglich, also musst du den Code so behandeln als wäre er voller radioaktiver Lizenz-Tretminen (Oracle commercial oder GPL, was deinem PL mehr weh tut).

Ob auch nur eins davon in der Breite gerichtlich durchsetzbar ist, wird die Zukunft zeigen.

Ich selber habe nie mit Canon gearbeitet, also ist das jetzt alles rein theoretisch: Magic lantern wird unterstützt, 15MP sind eine vernünftige Auflösung. Der SD-Slot ist zu langsam für raw Video, sollte dich aber nicht stören: https://www.reddit.com/r/MagicLantern/comments/y2jtni/comment/is3yy2n/

Ein Macro-Objektiv für EF-S wird vermutlich nochmal 200€ oben drauf kommen.
