@nprofile1q... ...i agree added value is uncertain, i am not claiming any productivity or quality gains, just stating the empirical fact that GenAI is used massively in software developement/engineering. We have to deal with that, regardless what you think about the technology, it risks and (large) drawbacks.
So what has to be done, this will not go away or improve by itself or just saying it is awful. (also a question to myself ๐Ÿ™‚ )
