Yo! It was a successful day making our way from Rome down to the Amalfi Coast in the heat.

Up first we had a 3 hour train from Rome to Salerno - kids did great, kept themselves busy with coloring and stickers.



The boat ride from Solerno to Amalfi was stunning. Incredible coastline the whole way down, and the breeze off the water gave us some relief from the heat of the city we just left.





We settled into our place (staying here for the next 6 days) with a nice view of the mountains above. After a quick nap we went out to explore the town a bit, including the main piazza. My son insisted on tackling every one of those stairs up to the church without being carried.







We finished off the night with a delicious meal (perhaps the best lasagna I've ever eaten), and promptly headed back before succumbing to our food comas. Bring on tomorrow!
