But yeah, the term has zero appeal to me, especially when you have folks who are clearly absolutely minted referring to...
The funny thing about this is that this term must be VERY jurisdictionally sensitive. I've been to Bitcoin events around the would and this is the first time I've ever heard of someone being offended by it. In fact many conferences have attendees organize side events called pleb parties - including European ones. There was just a pleb party in Prague 2 weeks ago.
Here in Canada the word is so mundane that it would be similar to someone calling you bud or dude, or at worst a light hearted self deprecating reference to being less affluent.

I can’t believe bitcoiners are using the word “pleb” to describe themselves.
It’s such an incredibly derogatory word, only Brit’s who grew up in the 80s truly understand this.
That's kind of the point though. It's a recognition that the fiat elites believe they are above everyone, but bitcoiners take insults and wear them as a badge of honor so they lose their power. Plenty of examples of this.
Bitcoin maxi was an insult from Vitalik.
Some pundit on X called everyone 80IQ.
The skull of Satoshi was funded by xrp/Greenpeace to ruin Bitcoin's public image.
All of them were embraced and became part of the meme culture.

I don't know why I'm put in anti. I should be listed at neutral, given I've not publicly stated an opinion, created tutorials on both node implementations, and said people should research to decide what one they want to run.

Today will be our 7th Sat Market here in Calgary. Since bootstrapping this local Bitcoin market a couple years ago it has grown into an awesome community that I now feel is becoming self sustaining. Tonight we're expecting between 40-50 vendors and a few hundred people in attendance.
Community members now regularly volunteer to help organize, others step up to help with funding (which was out of my own pocket for most of them), and we're beginning to expand into additional community events so it becomes more of an experience.
I can't wait to see what's next, and I encourage people to build their own local communities that use Bitcoin as money. It's incredibly rewarding and brings everyone together. Will post pics after the event!

Has someone been documenting the Bitcoin influencccooors and which side they've chosen? We should definitely be doing that, if only to remind everyone that influencccooors are 🗑️ #asknostr #grown...
For people that are so averse to influencooooors it is extremely odd that the knives come out when someone says "DYOR and run the software you want" instead of trying to influence people to pick one side or the other.
