I also thought about a simple tags feature, maybe based con colors; I need to evaluate it very well and plan an unobtrusive approach, since I want to keep the app really simple and straightforward, without too many stuff.
No sure about the shorten view, I'm also are experiencing a little frustration while the notes increase; here too, I have to meditate a balanced solution on some real use cases, after experiencing the real pain myself :)
