I don’t buy that it’ll end open source or packages at all.
It will end micro-packages/open source. Why use a third party dependency for things like “parse this query string” or “left pad (!!!) this string”.
But web frameworks, pydantic, databases themselves (postgres/mongo). They will certainly stay.
AI will pick open source winners for better and for worse (see Tailwind for both in one project).
