The deaper down this rabbit hole I go, the less I really understand what the right path is... I absolutely disagree with V30 and those who have produced it, certified spooks I'm sure. So after appraising the options I figured the best solution was to switch to knots as I have heard compelling arguments in it's favour and at first agreed with the ethos. However, I am not entirely convinced that Luke himself isn't a bit spooky. It would be very apt that TPTB would have a lever on both sides of this debate in order to sow division and ultimately come out on top no matter the result.
It seems the only real solution is maintaining V29 for now, but that doesn't seem like a viable long term option either as it will of course be stagnant compared to future core versions...
I don't want my node to become cloud storage (yes, I know arbitrary data is already there, but size matters) but ultimately I don't want any of these current personalities (clowns) to wield the power that they do over node development.
