If I understand the argument. All the code needs to be open source to be fully safe? Could you argue that if coldcard code was not open source the rng vulnerability would not have been as easy to exploit? Unless done by an insider. Just trying to understand the trade offs.

Cypherpunk - just watching this coldcard circus reminded me of my ignorant interest in paper wallets. I watched a podcast by BTC sessions where he said you can create a seed phrase with just pen and paper and dice rolls. But after getting 23 rolls -> to get the 24th he has to input all that entrop...

How much risk is a tezor, or any wallet, without a passphrase? It seems like that risk has gone up quite dramatically
