Well, one of the benefits of being minimalistic is to not have to spend a lot of money on hardware. My main machine has only 4GB of RAM and I'm never expanding, I just don't use bloated software.

fair enough. I've just moved 500G of photos and videos to my own server, and having been maxing out 32G of RAM while doing so.

Looks fun though, probably I'll look into self hosting stuff, but with older machines. It may seem strange, but I'm more interested in old hardware, older than intel ME
