⚡️🇺🇸 NEW - American citizens across the country are physically cutting down Flock cameras as authorities are losing control as more people are viewing the technology as an unconstitutional form of mass surveillance.

The incidents are being described as part of a growing trend where cordless, battery-powered tools are used to quickly cut down Flock camera poles because they are highly portable, fast, and quiet.

Mass surveillance must be stopped everywhere.

I don't think this is actually happening, but those cameras are pretty expensive and can probably be sold for good scrap prices.

Everyone should carry a battery powered angle grinder with a cutting blade in their trunk - in case someone is trapped in their car after an accident or something

The cameras in Utah are on huge towers (25-30 feet up with bases about 1.5 feet on diameter) along the highways, and mounted on traffic light poles, with AI surveillance servers at the bases of each pole. It'll take something bigger than a cordless saw to take those out.

Next thing you know the political class will call for tighter controls and then bans on sales of battery powered angle grinders.

Just don't take your phone with you. For the love of god, these things pick up on everything that comes within range. Down with the flock.

Doesn't look real but I would love to see that here were a surveillance state.

Finally. Americans finally waking up. It's crazy how far they've let this go. In UK people have been cutting the cameras down for years.

You were supposed to do it with speed cameras, remember? Yeah... exactly, it will be the same here, one year and everyone will get used to the flock.

Oh, so, now they will outlaw cordless tools. Or, we will have to register them and everyone with them will be a suspect.

"Cutting down surveillance cameras is a symptom of deeper distrust in institutions—but unilateral destruction rarely leads to durable policy change. Lebanon’s mass displacement crisis shows how unchecked state overreach (and public backlash) can destabilize communities long-term. Worth reading f...
