Naw - America isn't a "country" the way our friends in Europe are "a country." America is, at it's core, 13 public-private partnership (a Quango, if you will) with the Crown that REORGANIZED as a state, to escape regulations on their primary businesses - slavery and genocidal land theft; both of which were being hemmed in by British law - an outright ban on claiming land in the Ohio River Valley (because Britain had allies in the Indigenous communities there) and rumblings about a slavery ban.
