Just finished rereading "Eden" by Stanislaw Lem which I had read previously when I was a schoolboy. It's stunning how this old school sci-fi which seemed absolutely not of this Earth back then, now precisely describes modern democracy where anonymous tyrants rule the society of purposely made retards by intricately directing the information flows.
One of the best dystopian books ever, sadly underrated.
