Okay, I'm not going to belabor this, but I have a question for you security experts. (@nprofile1q... ?)

So, when I try to opt out of having my information collected for targeted ads, I get a pop-up message saying my opt-out requests were unsuccessful because of my ad blockers. Which I guess makes sense.

But I'm thinking, why should I bother with all this? Why not just keep using my ad blockers? If I understand correctly, the ad blockers basically field requests from the companies for my info and block/deny them. So, would there be any advantage/ greater privacy from using the opt-out features?
