I personally would like to hear your take on: * is information physical? * how decentralised computation happens at universe scale? I quite like your "simply put" and "layman" explanations. As you say...

Yes, information is physical. Landauer proved this. @CBO has done some really good work here to help explain this in his podcast Path to Bitcoin, there are multiple episodes on this topic.

Bitcoin is taking the physicality to the next level. Bitcoin provides us with both the transformation and the record with openness and transparency. We can now unite the separate definitions of entropy (Boltzmann and Shannon) into one discrete process of block computation.

Bitcoin allows us to take the knowledge that information is physical to compute the energy of said information. If we have the energy then we have the mass equivalence from Einstein. If we have mass, then we have the gravity of information.

I’d step back and say our definition of information is fiat. Think in literal, the satoshis are in formation uniquely at each block of time. The formation is sats, is the time, it’s the information, it’s the energy.

As far as your 2nd question, I need a bit more context as to where you’d like for me to go with that question.

Thanks! I like your point that we usually refer to information in fiat way but I can also see that for example bits of information in my phone required less energy than single satoshi. So essentially bits in my phone are extremely lightweight and satoshis are extremely heavy. My second question abo...
