I’m currently addressing PTSD with EMDR therapy. Amazingly helpful.

Thanks for the unexpected zap.

I had a similar takeaway from the plant medicine therapy, as perhaps you did from DMT. For me, the mushroom elders showed me, “Hey, you, human. Look at this. Now look at that. There is SO vastly much more happening, all the time, all around beyond your limited experience than you can possibly take in. It’s for a purpose that your valve is not always open. Also, you are fully a part of it all, all the time, beneath your consciousness, so don’t worry about it. All is well. Everything is fine. It’s Ok. Absurd even. Most of what bothers you is not all that important anyway, even your death. That will be essential and intended, too. Maybe you’ll even get to join us here in the vibrating magnificence beyond your limited, brief human experience.”

It’s long term, existential therapy.

I think EMDR is shorter term therapy for improving my remaining brief time on earth. It is helping me face up to traumas from childhood, sitting with them, giving them time and space in safety with an expert guide, which allows them to evolve in my mind. I am gaining entirely new insights about them to make them less scary. It’s like finally recognizing the monkeys (with wings!) on my back, which drive me in life. When I brave up and pull one off to look at it front and center, hold it for a while, apply my adult awareness, it’s not so bad and scary anymore. It’s not a scary monkey but becomes a play on a stage, which moves me but in which I am a spectator in the audience, not an actor.

I’ve been journaling about it all, and tend to go on a bit. ☺️

This is what I got from it too. It’s like God ripped the fabric of my known reality away and it didn’t exist and neither did I. Time and space did not exist it was pure light of the hottest brightest white light and pure darkness of the coldest dark and they were intertwined. I received a full e...
