About 20 years ago a heterosexual couple arrived home in San Francisco to find a burglar who lunged at them. He and the man got into an intense fight which included tumbling down the stairs. The burglar ended up in the hospital and the man ended up in jail. The DA which may have been Kamala Harris, and if not, her predecessor, argued that the man did not do "the minimum."
