Change is the only constant. So the art of life, or at least a large part of it, is how to deal with change. Or maybe more accurately: how to get better at dealing with change.
The Buddhist's answer is non-attachment. The Christian's answer is trusting God's plan, I guess.
Gardening is goated because you'll be forced to deal with and participate in change. The seeds you've put in the ground just now are already compost, no matter how beautiful the flowers inbetween, or how tasty the fruits and vegetables.
You'll have to deal with change, period. And death. And transformation.
But it's all good in the end, because you know that winter won't last forever and spring will come again.
