Let them think the Artemis photos are fake. If you have ever met people like this in real life, you have seen the withering under their suffocating lack of wonder. They hoard food and bullets, males their kids miserable, and have never succeeded at anything but isolating themselves.

I think it depends on how strongly they're committed to the idea... There are NFL superstars who think the Earth is flat (or at least say so when someone with a camera asks), but that belief doesn't affect their ability to catch a football and make $millions for it.
