Attacking the person rather than the argument suggests either a lack of ability to convey your ideas and or lack of any solid grounding of ideas in the first place.
Despite whatever thoughts I might have about you personally I have been careful throughout to try and avoid attacking you personally because it does not help in making my point, it just makes me look petty.
