Cross posting your macro stuff here is a great idea - but then just having more engaging dialogue on Nostr instead of Twitter maybe?

Cross posting my macro stuff here was my early intent, but I ran into frictions. I would start to but then forget to post stuff here. And some of the early desktop clients kind of sucked for posting images. Primal is making that better.

I found myself naturally posting “insider updates” about my book progress and stuff. And occasionally ranting about things. That’s what felt natural. Posting macro content here always felt like a chore. There are studies that show how hard it is to be “native” on two or more social media platforms. You can easily cross-post, but actually *understanding* the culture of different ecosystems is really hard. Reposting often feels hollow, especially because there is a big bitcoin community here but not a big macro community, and most of the small macro community that is here catches my stuff elsewhere anyway.

The more I think about it, unique content is best. Cross posting doesn’t hurt but it’s not the key driver. And the only unique content that will be genuine is stuff I feel uncomfortable or uninterested in posting on Twitter.

Don’t overthink it.Just play around with the rest of us. We are all figuring it out as we go. Do what feels natural.

Yo just call Elon a cuck again and then we can tell people in your Twitter comments that you pop off on Nostr.

nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a I know how you feel. I think I am the only Uranium investor on Nostr. If you thought macro on Nostr was small, Uranium is non-existent.

For what it's worth anecdotally, I really enjoy your macro content, newsletter and podcast interviews, but don't have a twitteraccountt to get your updates there.

A summary of macro stuff and other general opinions by the unfiltered version of Lyn.

Post on topics and in a way that enhances that sense of belonging and community that is unique to #nostr. Not necessarily about bitcoin. People are looking for a safe place on the internet in general: #nostr is it. Post about things that spread kindness.

It’s an interesting dilemma and I don’t think you’ll know until you experiment, measure and repeat. Agree not overthinking and posting what feels natural makes sense

What I miss on Nostr the most is the macro content and also economics related news/comments. When twitter apis got rate limited (killed) it was suddenly obvious for me how reliant I'm on twitter regarding this stuff. Not good. I wish all my favourite people/accounts would at least mirror their post...

I doubt there are people who only follow you here. I for example follow you on Twitter, listen to the podcasts you are on, and watch you on YouTube. So if you’re inspired to keep this platform closer to your personal feelings or more “intimate”….. Heck Yeah. Who is going to tell you No! ...

I go though cycles of binging Nostr content and lurk on twitter more regularly. If you want to post unique content here that would be great as it would reduce the reposts, Nostr is small for now so why not just go for it and post whatever comes to mind that isn’t suited for other platforms.

Thanks for sharing Lyn, NOSTR is difficult. I’m not leaving though.

I can't switch completely to Nostr because I miss the macro stuff from ppl like you, Preston, Dylan etc.
