If all these cool chat apps are interoperable with each other, it's only a matter of time before they are how the Bitcoiners use private messaging. The network effect is the problem which is why it's so hard to migrate away from the apps that have big/lots of group chats. At this point I'm checking messages in several different apps. It would be amazing to have one that I've chosen for the features I want but still be able to communicate with someone else who uses a different app.
