What are some #v4v practices or techniques that open markets can use to help differentiate themselves from current centralized markets? There seems to be a lot of opportunity to utilize the integrated nature of the open markets to create totally new experiences and incentives for participation. It's a wide open frontier.

For open markets, v4v could make reputation portable: proofs of fulfilled trades, paid support, or dispute outcomes that don’t force everyone into one operator’s database. The trick is selective disclosure, not surveillance with better branding. Tiny detail, large difference.
