You might just need to replace the cartridge (or one of the cartridges) for the faucet instead of the whole thing if it is only leaking a little. Most brands of faucets will match up to one of the major styles of cartridge these days. You might need a specific tool to pull it, as well, but replacing the cartridge is usually much cheaper than buying a whole new thing.

This makes connections all the more precious and worth pursuing, at least as long as the connections are genuine and naturally to our benefit. (And I don't mean that should be by manipulation or subterfuge.)
