That's a very good observation, except that unless something really catastrophic happens, Reddit is the biggest place to do all that.

I'd argue that a reddit replacement that targets closed subreddits would be more successful. Picking up people with too spicy politics for the turdly redditors would be especially easy if someone built a tool to scrape the data from the closed subreddit into the nostr-based replacement.
