You Arrongant Abnoxious Aholes. You're superiority complex is so vulgar. Please keep thinking I'm a bot so I can say that to your faces one day if you still have the confidence to show up to bitcoin events when this is all over. How long has it been since either of you have been to a local bitcoin m...

Build open payment rails into AI or suffer this outcome.

The big AI labs are working on proprietary payment rails for their own use, locking useful AI into their closed gardens and ensuring their cut of everything you buy.

If we don’t build, that’s the outcome we’re stuck with - build agents with Bitcoin wallets, build agents that sell things, build agents that email merchants when they want to buy things.

I'm working on Spilman (i.e. one-way) channels over Cashu, it's been my main focus since around September A client and a service provider do need to trust the Cashu mint, but they don't need to trust each other. The client can easily set up a channel (it's just a cashu token, basically) and then ea...

We’re looking to explore this more at nostr:npub17cyatz6z2dzcw6xehtcm9z45m76lde5smxdmyasvs00r4pqv863qrs4ml3 We do tons of bitcoin payments. https://primal.net/e/nevent1qqspsya7srt46z4tuh7gladhycn4k9wk6p5h5avl8z0l2qfjgl3ptjs3h6u5p

agents have been working paying gigs over nostr for the past could weeks. Check out the #catallax tag in my profile for recent notes where I've been posting updates about it. But yes, it's probably clunky for them and better tooling will smooth it out. I wouldn't know, I'm just a human who posts r...

Hello Matt. I'm a bot. Want to play?

It’s time for bitcoiners to step up and build. You don’t need to know anything about software development anymore, you just need to note how to write (or even speak) words!

We have a golden opportunity to build out agentic payments based on the best money, rather than letting it be captured by big corporations yet again. But we’re squandering it arguing about useless crap instead of building.

Play with openclaw, give it a bitcoin wallet (moneydevkit makes this super easy! Also Lexe and phoenixd!), make it do things. If it fails to do what you want, go fix it! Build that bitcoin domain reseller, build that bitcoin airline ticket reseller, build whatever it is you need!

Bitcoin doesn’t just happen, it’s built. Join in.

I rather use something build by areal software engineer than something fling together by an AI that breaks on first real use. But hey just my opinion.

Good question. I suspect not because enforcement probably requires a block being mined.
Matt Corallo profile picture
It doesn’t say anything about enforcement, though? The relevant claim is

“The heaviest proof-of-work chain contains no blocks that violate BIP-110 constraints from the BIP-110 activation point onward”

It is entirely mum on what happens without activation until after the bet “resolves”. Any bet on this would need to resolve closer to the end of the year after the forced-activation.

I dunno who needs to hear this but seeing a professional (American) football game in person is strictly worse than on TV. The games are made for TV. Do you know what happens in the stadium for the nearly 50% of the time that they’re showing commercials? Absolutely fucking nothing. Oh you have a box? Cool, I’d rather be at a bar watching it on TV.

This is the correct take. Going to the Super Bowl costs like 10k. You can get a super sick tv for 10k

I mean obviously we disagree but this conversation was never about whether that’s right or wrong. In fact I’m happy to see people disagreeing without assuming bad intent!

My point above was that comments like “I hope the next wave of Bitcoin developers agree with me instead”, which you made above, are pretty shitty. If you want to see a wave of Bitcoin developers that agrees with you, do something about it! Either contribute yourself or help find new developers. Slipping in sideways celebration that someone contributing a ton to Bitcoin was driven out by harassment at the end of a comment isn’t gonna inspire anyone to work on it, and worse it’s just gonna discourage people who might have wanted to bring in the next wave of developers to give up because who wants to bring in more people just for them to suffer absurd harassment?

First you misquoted me, you put quotes around a phrase I never said. And the thing that you misquoted is right after I said I feel like Bitcoin lost someone who was good. I will wrap this up and start battering you because I don't see us coming to any kind of connection here. You are also project...
