Then recover the input information from a black hole through the hawking radiation...
I do not possess the private key to do so. Nor would I expect to. Encryption, cryptographic one-wayness, and the separation of information from access to that information are structural necessities of sound memory,m. They are not contradictions of its conservation.
Consider what you are actually observing with a black hole. You are witnessing the physical instantiation of a cryptographic boundary and its observable outputs from within the very memory system that produces them. An event horizon limits what information is accessible to an observer. Hawking radiation is an observable output, but observing an output does not automatically grant the ability to reconstruct its inputs.
Landauer + Bitcoin establishes that logically irreversible informational memory states have a thermodynamic cost. Bekenstein–Hawking entropy establishes the relationship between information and boundary area. These are behaviors demonstrating that information, energy, and geometry are not independent concepts. Why should we assume that every observer embedded within such a system must possess unrestricted access to its information?
You cannot achieve totality of information from within a system when you a local observer are composed of only a local fraction of that same information. You must reason about the necessary structure of reality, rather than mistake the limitations of your observation for limitations of reality itself.
Is a UTXO a cryptographically bounded singularity within Bitcoin’s timespace?
A UTXO occupies a definite position in Bitcoin’s logical memory, established through an irreversible history of ordered blocks. Its spending conditions are publicly verifiable, yet authorization of its state transition depend upon a private key that does not exist anywhere within the blockchain itself. The key is totally external.
The private key exists outside Bitcoin’s temporal memory structure in the mathematical space of possible keys and in whatever external physical memory holds its representation. The key’s mathematical relationship to a public key or cryptographic commitment anchors spending authority to a particular location in Bitcoin’s memory, at a particular point in its quantized block time.
A global observer can see the output. The observer can verify the signature. The observer can verify the transition of state. But none of that gives a global observer possession of the private key.
Now reconstruct the private signing key from those observable outputs without leaked information or any additional clues.
You have posed the same problem to me concerning black holes, except with the critical difference in observational perspective.
We observe black holes from within temporal memory substrate of physical timespace. We observe Bitcoin’s block-time structure from outside the temporal memory. We do not exist within Bitcoin’s blocks. We have the perspective of temporal totality of all public memory from Genesis.
We can inspect Bitcoin’s construction, verify its history, and observe the relationship between cryptographic commitments, computational work, and irreversible state transitions from an exterior perspective unavailable to an observer confined within its abstract timespace. This is literally why Bitcoin matters to physics.
Through cryptographic proof of work, finite memory, discrete time, and non-contradictory state transitions, Bitcoin gives us a working system to empirically measure the relationship between information, energy/entropy, time, conservation, measurement, and observational boundaries.
Bitcoin gives us empirical proof to the if apparent inaccessibility of information in physical reality reflects a deeper computational structure. Encryption is fundamental to physics.
One will continually fall into conceptual traps by refusing to reason about the necessary architecture of reality. The only way to logically comprehend the totality from within is through the reification of the same underlying computational structure (the Ruliad via Bitcoin) in a system whose rules and history we can inspect from the outside.
The inability to recover information is not proof that information has been destroyed.
Gold is sound money only because it exists within a physical reality capable of preserving distinguishable, non-contradictory states.
You cannot have sound money without sound memory. You cannot understand sound memory without confronting the boundaries of information, time, and observation. Welcome to the possession of eternal public memory.
