Nostr does not need to host child porn.

We can censor it at the time of posting, very easily, so it isnt ever uploaded to a relay.

Not only is it obviously terrible, but it is an attack vector for our competition. They will have our apps removed from app stores and banned by governments.

I wanted to make a TikTok clone. How the fuck do you keep 50 year olds from zapping 14 year olds for nudes? If I solved that, how could I keep them from going to another client to complete their transaction? I cannot abdicate responsibility to the parents, they failed the child on their part, why should WE TOO?

Nostr desperately needs censorship. I don't like seeing porn and definitely not CSAM when I open these apps. Do we know what no censorship actually means? It is more horrific than you can imagine.

But I know, let's vibecode a fucking chatbot to get zaps instead of building safeguards to protect our users and our future.

But when I come on here and immediately see an AI generated photo, followed by a meme in an 8 year old format, followed by a Nostr dev bragging about his vibe coded project he won't maintain... I just close the fucking app, every time.

I open it, wanting to have fun, and immediately am reminded that half the people here are schizophrenic or they got banned from other places for using too many slurs.

It could heal. But we need to change for that to happen.
