⚡️🚨 NEW - Microsoft to reduce headcount by 27%!

Microsoft is offering buyouts to around 60,000 employees in the US, UK, Canada and India.

Basically, eligible workers can choose to leave the company with severance and career support instead of waiting for a possible layoff.

This comes after Microsoft has already cut thousands of jobs this year while shifting more resources toward AI.

Employees have until early December to decide, with departures expected by the end of 2026.

AI keeps plowing through white collar jobs.

⚡️🚨 NEW - Anthropic, the creator of Claude AI, has just filed for an initial public offering under the ticker symbol $ANT.

The U.S. company filed its S-1 registration statement with the SEC on Monday, October 26.
It plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq, paving the way for one of the potentially largest IPOs in history.

Its most recent private funding round, in May 2026, already valued the company at $965 billion!

Anthropic reported revenue of $16.3 billion for the first six months of 2026, compared to approximately $1.2 billion a year earlier.

⚡️🤖 FLASH - Today, as part of my work on AI, I managed to get Gemma 4 and Qwen 3.X running locally on my PC with llama.cpp

The result: aside from the privacy concerns, I don’t see any point in it—it’s slow, and my PC started heating up and making a lot of noise. I opened Task Manager and saw it was using ~100% CPU and 100% GPU.

This is my first attempt, and I’m pretty proud of it. I’m going to try Ollama tomorrow and see if it’s better. The next step is to create a Hermes agent; I’ve downloaded the app, so now I need to find a tutorial.
