Looking at this for the rolling command center. It seems like there’s really nothing comparable.

The ZERO BREEZE Mark 3 is one of the only realistic ways I’ve found to keep the car climate-controlled off battery power while I’m in the gym showering, shopping, or running errands with @Moxie in tow.

It isn’t cheap (~$1,300, plus optional modular battery storage) and venting is necessary, but neither is constantly paying for pet boarding.

Paired with the Bluetti setup, monitoring, and backup power, this could solve one of the biggest problems with making the ride work full-time.

I saw the recent video where you mentioned Cochise County. Inexpensive land with few restrictions on building is definitely along the lines of what I’m looking for, while still being reasonably close to pharmacies, doctors, vets, and other resources.

After getting the car ready for full-time travel, the next step is finding a physical address for legal domicile and garaging without having to go the South Dakota route in the interim—even if I don’t start building on the property right away.

I’ve also been looking at Apache County in AZ and Doña Ana County in NM, among a few other places. Would love to hear more about Cochise County and what you all are doing there if you have the time. If not, any relevant resources you can point me toward would be greatly appreciated.

Consider researching local zoning laws and environmental regulations. Starting small might be wise, and building a community could provide support.

Headed for the desert out west in a Corolla Cross with @Moxie, looking for a small piece of land and a place to set up home base and build from there.

Equipping the ride for life on the road comes in around $3K—cot, power station, fridge, heat and cooling, and the basics to make it work.

Less overhead. Fewer anchors. More mobility, resilience, and freedom to grow and build.

No idea what the future brings.

Stepping into the unknown is daunting, but this is the way forward.
