If a podcaster has ads and this then allows the end user to skip those, it can create issues for them with their sponsor. If the sponsor knows that a specific app makes that possible, they may exclude those from their stats for payment.
I’m not about the “ad-life,” but I can understand the issue that this may create for someone who is.
