From the 20's into the 40's and 50's, the A&P store chain had up to 15,000 stores at one point, a number that had never been achieved by any other business up to that point, or since, and you most likely have never heard of one. Businesses are cycles. They are born, the grow, and they die.
Wow, that's cute. Postmarks are being delayed, so if you make critical mailings that are postmark dependent, you could get fucked, even though the transfer of ownership occured since it's in their possession.
@nprofile1q... Oddly enough, Spotify has books now, and it was there. They have a bunch of business books. I started also listening to Surrounded By Idiots, but the volume is low and I can't listen in my car on the road. I listen through my phone's speaker, I don't have a bluetooth or auxiliary capable radio. Yet.
I had never read a Sowell book, just excerpts, but I've been listening to his Basic Economics, 4th Ed. And he reads it himself. It's a little dry but so well done. It's also remarkable that he recongizes Marx and Engel for all their failings, we're very good at understanding economics actually, and that part ignored by many leaders. Not saying Real Marxism works, but there was proper theory in some parts.
Correction: Is read by Tom Weiner, still very good..
