It's an interesting perspective, and I think I agree. Cryptography and machine intelligence are making every person face an individual reckoning with their own mind, soul, and consciousness - and what role these play in the universe. When a critical mass goes through this on a similar timeline, it leaves an indelible mark on the collective sense.

Those experienced wrestling with the existential, whether from lived trauma or other shocking pathways such as this demonstrate humanity's antifragility (richly endowed by our Creator). As awful as this situation is, I pray that individuals and families will come out stronger to build newly durable traditions.
