So #duolingo now wont run on my #grapheneos phone, probably because it does some play integrity shenanegens that even the sandboxed google play cant do. So I have to say goodbye to my 850 day streak....

@nprofile1q... For what it's worth, duolingo installs and runs just fine on iodéOS with microG, so it is unlikley that the issue is play integrity or a custom ROM. Try logging on to your account from the duolingo website, perhaps the problem isn't the device at all.

@nprofile1q... sideloading will not be an issue on #degoogled OSs, it is only a problem for stock. As for recaptcha, unfortunately, there is no privacy-respecting workaround. Website owners who have placed google between themselves and their visitors will simply have to install alternatives or disable recaptcha in order to not lose customers. This is #enshittification at it's worst.

@nprofile1q... by "lockdown" if you mean the inability to install apps without the developer having signed up with Google, then *we (and other de-googled ROMs) won't be affected* 🙂 , except in the case the developers stop publishing their apps.

But we will still be able to install anonymously from the Play Store (via Aurora) or F-Droid without being subject to these hijinks!

@nprofile1q... minor correction, we had to (temporarily) remove the FP4-6 from the graphical installer due to us now resetting the FRP partition so that there won't be any accidental bricks when flashing.
