being on the ATmosphere means that at any point, #bluesky can decide to cut off your access to the vast majority of their millions of users, even if you choose not to use any of their infrastructure.

being on fedi means your total audience is maybe a million but getting cut off from many is hard for any server to do but you could randomly get cut off from most servers (each making that choice individually) for any non-lefty approved opinions.

we have to fix all these non techie issues.

Does #monsterdon ever use #owncast? It would seem like a good way to watch together and chat.

the social media billionaires could give away $1m randomly every day but only to people who used their services regularly and never posted/boosted something they didn't like. it would give them much more control over the public and probably make them wealthier from increased usage.

I hate my brain but this kinda power is why such wealth concentration must end.

just use the word "work" anywhere you might otherwise use #content. it's also universal but also respectful.

This guy @nprofile1q... is an amazing writer and his site is #APnative!

[that means the work is both natively a post and an article. all the boosts, favorites and replies live in one place that's fully under the convenient control of the creator. it's how/why we fedizens will eventually win the social media wars]

Listening to #DownAndOutInParisAndLondon and am quite sure Bourdain was deeply inspired by Orwell.
