I have it in my head to try to make some oat flour scones (with blueberries or apple). My wife has celiac disease so we can’t have regular flour in the house. But there are alternatives, including I understand using your food processor and some GF oats to just blitz and make flour. I’ll see how it goes this week maybe. #Celiac #Baking

Today’s BC Friday finds me still working towards my next song based fuzzy folk one. Working with a drummer from Vancouver for that and taking my time. I’m enjoying writing and working on it.

All my past stuff is marked down to pay what you can, and there’s a lot of introspective folky stuff there.

Here’s my last songs record from 2024, listen/image, which I’m proud of making in the months after moving to the east coast.

Well, it's not quite fall, and the weather is still hot and muggy. But I'm exhausted from the summer, and struggling to just keep going until the crisp air of the autumn perks me up. We've turned off the AC for the year it seems, to save money and it's hot enough to sweat but not enough to make it unbearable. I'm looking forward to a few things though, like practicing music with other people, with the samba percussion group and another world music ensemble coming up.

Question for #GearSquad if anyone has experience or tips mastering music using Logic Pro, Ableton, Reaper or other DAWs?

I'm looking towards having some time to work on my next project of home recording, and thinking of trying to use some software tools when I'm ready to get it sounding loud, balanced and good overall for the listener.

Sail on, Brian Wilson. I don't have much to add, what a genius. But here's a lesser known one I recently remembered, a kind of melodic and simplified story of colonialism in song. It's a weird and interesting trip! A rich text. It was mixed into one of the early 2000s Avalanches DJ sets that my best friend and I loved very much when that was a thing you could find on file sharing.
