When you get your Start9 server, that has Nostr Relay software in the Marketplace. You can install that to run your own relay so you aren't just relying on public ones to store your data.

I'm not entirely sure about bandwidth. I've never really looked into that as I have a pretty fast connection so don't have to worry.

Since you've got limited bandwidth I probably wouldn't run a relay until you've finished the initial download of the blockchain. I'd expect it to work OK with limited bandwidth though.
