I very much like the idea of a community and independence. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable being that close to Israël, but I love Cyprus. I haven't been there in decades, so I don't know how it has changed.
For a big family, this is not an option. I love how paying with bitcoin has a discount and fiat a premium :-)
With regards to independence, working towards off-grid is a big one. Of course with less luxury. I've come across Anastasia farm, which is a living farm where they have land they own where a community is build. They're doing it all off-grid, where they learn participants how to grow food and more. There is a lot of information that goes beyond my head, and that are the teachings of Anastasia. It's all based on that.
