Finished ripping Voyager. Handbrake has a cli interface, so I wrote a .sh script that copies the dvd to the hd and then rips it from there. Copying the dvd to the hd is a lot more fault tolerant. Now I can rip a cd completely hands-off. Takes about 20 minutes end-to-end. The only step I have to do by hand is naming the episodes. That's my next task. Then I just need a robot arm (preferably made out of lego) to put the dvd's in for me.

Voice-actived robot arm so you can just say ""Computer, play Voyager"

How are steam keys generated?
1. Randomly generate a key and if it's taken, generate another one and loop.
2. There is a database of (millions) available keys, when it runs out make more with step 1.
3. Key aren't random, it's a algorithm (seems dangerous if figured out).
4. Something I haven't thought of because I'm just a simple game designer.

They've changed the key lengths in the past, that was probably caused by switch...

I have stopped using my dev account for that and st...

I wonder if some older system (for valve logins only) they had, that once they opened public fo...

Got the first build of twp2 uploaded to steam on the tester branch. I will be 6+ months before we do any testing but I wanted to get a build team member can play. Steam back-end is a mess, clearly built slowly over time. Like all platform backends, it will never be made better because doing so won't make them more money. No one says "I want to develop for Switch because the dev backend is awesome."
