How lo-fi is LoFi Girl? I wondered if she uses a #FountainPen, but sadly, no, it looks like she uses a ballpoint. Harrumph. She's probably writing in a Moleskine journal - they're iconic but the paper is not fountain pen friendly. Harrumph.

Lennon Tool Bar is one of my fav ink companies. The colors are beautiful, and their packaging has a subtle beauty to it too. It's so nice to see the slogan "to turn love into ink" on their boxes. My task now is to turn that ink back into love.

My first Nahvalur #FountainPen arrived yesterday. This is their Original Plus in the Summer edition, with a fine nib. The ink is Birmingham Pen Co's "Airline." It's a very nice writer, feels well-built, and I like the blue and orange swirls in the resin - they look like ocean and sunset. I've been intrigued by Nahvalur because they seem a bit private, quite unusual for brands these days. Glad I took the plunge on this ocean-inspired vacuum-filled beauty!

Ohhhhh, this is weird: Pilot Pens, one of the most reliable fountain pen brands, no longer shows #FountainPens on their web site. Wonder if they’ve stopped production or sold the business? Or maybe their fountain pens will all be Namiki branding in future? Yikes, I’ll have to give them a call on Monday.

Aloha #FountainPen people. How do you store your ink swatch cards? I just have mine in a stack, but I'm thinking about those 1980s plastic pages that stored business cards in a notebook. Not sure if any of those are still around, and I'd like to avoid plastic anyway. Maybe just paste them into a blank journal?

It's important to find moments of joy amidst all the [waves around at dystopia], so I ordered a grail #FountainPen: a Waterman Carene, medium nib. I love my Waterman Hemisphere, but the Carene has a gold nib. It arrived today, I inked it up with some Wearingeul "I Am A Cat," and the writing is SMOOOOOOOTH as silk. My other super-smooth writer is a TWSBI Eco with a broad nib, and man, these two DEFINITELY bring that joy! #WriteOn
