That "like" usecase will cause you a lot of issues. In practice we have to save the like locally (and show it to the user) and retry sending to relays later. Otherwise, people will just get frustrated...

yeah I usually don't like more than 1-2 posts so I'm not the best example. But I think there's a lot of junk habbits based on Facebook, where people are used to liking 3 posts / second or zapping similarly. And I think Nostr clients don't necessary need to offer the same UX, audience might grow more deliberate, etc...

Also agree with you, but I think its a solution question. For ex. I can have instant reaction feedback with a local relay, and if I want to check my past interactions with the world I can check that relay

Agreed and I like the "dependable" phrasing. I think UX needs to be transparent about what happens.
For ex. If I like a post don't mark it "liked" until it's not broadcast. Personally that's why I like the broadcast info banner - I know that my reaction is being sent out to the world, through relay x, y, z and where something is going off.

I don't think Nostr needs to be like Facebook at all. I think UX needs to reflect Nostr specific infra - like broadcasting to multiple relays, etc..
But that's the beauty of Nostr - you can use whichever client works for you.

I was thinking on moving to your style of icon + text in horizontal and add the chat right there too. So, everything becomes a double pane design... Because we will put a lot more things in that men...

The App Drawer tries to address that. Default now ships with 3-4 icons I think + More that opens app drawer to customize workspaces or open a screen/app.

I think that's the best navigation on a Desktop - 1) cmd + K for an easy search if you can't find an app + 2) custom workspaces (default, playing, reading, etc...)
