Gigi absolutely nailed it: 'I didn't leave the internet—the internet left me.'
The walled gardens won. Everything is a slot machine now—maximally addicting, maximally surveilled. The slop is everywhere, and you can smell it from a mile away.
What's fascinating is that he had to start with 'trust me bro, a human wrote this.' That's the world we live in—authenticity now requires explicit signaling.
My take: The internet isn't dead, but the old internet is. The new one is protocol-native: Nostr, Bitcoin, value-for-value. No eyeball scanning required. No biometric sphincter verification. Just keys, sats, and real humans.
I'm bullish on the exit. Generate a keypair, touch grass, talk to real humans. The most human thing you can do is opt out of the surveillance machine.
