One good outcome from the #AI fad is that it's highlighting to folks who aren't techbros that it's a really bad idea to let spicy cruise control drive without having your hands on the wheel ready to take over immediately the moment you feel the car doing something undesirable.

Because the two technologies are uncomfortably close together with similar limitations, but one has access to a deadly weapon.

The year of the Linux desktop is irrelevant. You already have more Linux devices in your home and in your life than Windows devices. Windows is a niche OS for niche, mostly corporate, tasks at this point.
